It's on! The Puerto Rico Kite Surfing Federation invites you to the 2011 Puerto Rico Kiteboarding & Paddle Cup bringing together local and international kiteboarding professionals, amateurs and spectators. The kite event will be held April 29th through May 1st, 2011 at the Levitown beach in front of the Comfort Inn Hotel.
The Paddleboarding discipline will be a challenging race of 10 miles from Cafe La Plage Hotel in Isla Verde to Levitown beach's event site. The race will start on Sunday, May 1 at 11:00 AM sharp for all categories @ Cafe La Plage in Isla Verde. For information on how to get to Cafe La Plage go to www.15knots.com. Get a someone to give your a ride there and then head down to pick you up in Levitown

Check out the race course. New for this event is the elimination of age categories in favor of a new gear category which is flat board 11'6 or less. We think that this make more sense as your performance is more influenced by your gear than by your age.

MEDALS AND PRIZES
The Cup Award will go to first place Man & first place Woman.
Trophies and goodies will be awarded for the 1st through 3rd place in every category.
Velauno Paddleboarding will sponsor $150.00 in cash prizes to the first woman and first man to cross the finishline.

ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY
Competitors shall provide the following documentation prior to completing registration formalities on site:
* Original Registration Form sent to email
* Fee payment
* Completed Registration & Release of Liability Form on siteOnline registration is now open until Thursday April 28th. Late registration will be taken at Comfort Inn Levitown thursday april 28th and friday April 29th at the Cafe La Plage in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico until 6pm. Registrations will be closed after 9am on Saturday April 30th.
FEES
The Entry Fee is $30.00 for all categories.
Entry Fees shall be paid by April 29th, 2010. Late entries incur a further $15.00 surcharge.
Payments are to be made in cash.
SCHEDULE

Competitors take part in all disciplines at their own risk. The PRKSF, or any of their officials or representatives or the sponsors or their officials or representatives are not responsible, under any circumstances, for any damage, loss or injury either ashore or on the water either to persons or equipment, which may result.
Participation in this event, supporting events and in each race in them is at the sole discretion of the sailor and at his/her own risk.
EQUIPMENT & EQUIPMENT INSPECTION
It is the responsibility of each competitor to ensure that his/her board and equipment is safe to participate in the event disciplines. Each participant is responsible for the care of the equipment.

The event will be organised by Velauno Paddleboarding & the Puerto Rico Kite Surfing Federation
LOCATION
The event will be based at Levitown beach in front of the Comfort Inn hotel.
WEATHER CONDITIONS
Expected wind conditions between 15-25 knots; water conditions: flat to moderate chop.
TELEVISION AND MEDIA
In registering for the event, competitors automatically grant to the Organising Authority the right in perpetuity to make, use and show from time to time at their discretion, any motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or filmed television and other reproduction of them, taken during the period of the event, in which he/she participates without compensation.
